Siemens Teamcenter
Siemens Teamcenter is the flagship commercial PLM platform from Siemens Digital Industries Software, used by manufacturers across aerospace, automotive, industrial machinery, and electronics. It centralizes part-master, BOM, document, change, workflow, requirements, and program-management data and integrates tightly with Siemens NX and the broader Siemens Xcelerator portfolio.
Context
Teamcenter began life as Metaphase (SDRC / EDS PLM) and Engineer-IT/iMAN, was unified under UGS, and became part of Siemens after the 2007 UGS acquisition. Today it is offered both on-premises and as Teamcenter X (SaaS on AWS), with Active Workspace as the modern web client.

- Part Master with Classification and Reuse search.
- Workflow Engine for ECO/ECN, release, and supplier processes.
- Digital Thread through Active Workspace and the Mendix-based extensions.
- Document Vault with FCC/FSC distributed file caching.
