Dassault ENOVIA
Dassault ENOVIA is the PDM/PLM brand inside the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, providing item, BOM, change, project, and IP-management roles. It is the direct heir to MatrixOne’s eMatrix data model after Dassault’s 2006 acquisition, and is the primary engineering data backbone competing with Teamcenter and Windchill.
Context
ENOVIA originated as Dassault’s PDM brand alongside CATIA, was rebuilt on the eMatrix kernel after the MatrixOne acquisition, and is now delivered exclusively as a set of roles on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform — there is no standalone ENOVIA V6/X release outside 3DEXPERIENCE since the early 2010s. The “ENOVIA” name is preserved for brand continuity.
What it implements

- ECO / ECN through 3DEXPERIENCE Change Action.
- Workflow Engine through Routes and Approvals.
- Classification and Variant Configurator roles.
