Dassault DELMIA
Dassault DELMIA is the manufacturing and operations brand on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, covering the planning side (process planning, robotics, plant simulation, ergonomics) and the execution side (DELMIA Apriso MES/MOM). It is positioned as the manufacturing peer to Siemens Tecnomatix + Opcenter on the rival platform.
Context
DELMIA descends from the IBM-Dassault PCO/IGRIP/QUEST manufacturing-simulation portfolio plus the 2014 Apriso acquisition that brought the MES execution engine. The brand spans 3DEXPERIENCE roles for process planning, virtual commissioning, and shop-floor execution with end-to-end integration to ENOVIA / 3DEXPERIENCE engineering data.
What it implements
- Process Simulation and MES — both planning (DELMIA process planning, robotics) and execution (DELMIA Apriso).
- DFM / DFA through the 3DEXPERIENCE manufacturing engineer roles.
- CAM Programming via DELMIA NC Machining.
Relationships (see sidebar)
- Part of Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Competes with Siemens Tecnomatix (planning) and Siemens Opcenter (execution).
