SIMULIA

SIMULIA is Dassault Systèmes’ simulation brand, covering FEA (Abaqus), CFD (XFlow, PowerFLOW), multibody dynamics (Simpack), electromagnetics (CST Studio Suite), and process automation (Isight). Abaqus, originally from Hibbitt, Karlsson & Sorensen, anchored the brand after Dassault’s 2005 acquisition.

Context

SIMULIA solutions are delivered both as standalone Abaqus/CST products and as roles on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit cover implicit and explicit dynamics respectively, with deep capability in nonlinear materials, contact, and large-deformation problems.

• Finite Element Analysis via Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit.
• Computational Fluid Dynamics via PowerFLOW (lattice Boltzmann), XFlow, and FluidSIM.
