Simcenter

Simcenter is Siemens Digital Industries Software’s simulation portfolio, unifying the former MSC, LMS, CD-adapco, and Mentor Graphics simulation acquisitions under a single brand. It spans 3D FEA/CFD (Simcenter 3D, Simcenter STAR-CCM+), system simulation (Amesim), test, and electronics thermal/EMI.

Context

Siemens has built Simcenter through major acquisitions: CD-adapco (2016, brought STAR-CCM+), Mentor Graphics (2017, brought electronic-systems simulation), and LMS International (2012, brought Amesim and physical test). The brand now covers virtually every major simulation discipline relevant to discrete manufacturing.
