Siemens Insights Hub

Siemens Insights Hub is the rebranded former MindSphere — Siemens’ industrial IoT (IIoT) platform that ingests, contextualizes, and analyzes telemetry from connected products and assets. It targets OEM and operator customers that want a Siemens-native data plane for their installed base, integrated with Xcelerator engineering data and Opcenter manufacturing data.

Context

The product launched as MindSphere in 2016, was rebranded to Insights Hub in 2022, and is delivered as a managed service on AWS. Siemens spun out the legacy MindSphere business unit and refocused Insights Hub as a tightly Xcelerator-integrated component, with Brownfield Connect as the on-premises connectivity sibling for legacy plants.

What it implements

• IoT Platform — connectivity, asset model, time-series storage, and apps.
• Digital Twin — operational and performance twins fed by telemetry.
