Siemens Polarion

Siemens Polarion is a browser-native Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) suite covering requirements, work-item, test, release, and verification management for software-heavy products. Acquired from Polarion Software in 2016, it is positioned as the ALM complement to Teamcenter and NX in regulated industries (automotive ISO 26262, aerospace DO-178C, medical IEC 62304).

Context

Polarion is a single-platform product (REQUIREMENTS, ALM, QA editions are configurations of the same web app on the same database) using Subversion under the hood for its artifact storage. Tight integration with Teamcenter Requirements and Capital lets customers federate hardware/software requirements through a single trace tree.
