Warranty and Field Feedback
Warranty and Field Feedback is the in-service process of capturing failure data, claims, and field observations from delivered products and routing them back into engineering, quality, and supply-chain functions to drive design and process improvement. It is how the lifecycle’s last mile becomes engineering’s earliest signal.
Scope
The process covers warranty registration, claims intake and adjudication, fleet failure-mode analytics, root-cause investigation, 8D / CAPA workflows, supplier recovery, and design-improvement triggers. Modern programs fuse warranty claims with telemetry from connected products and digital-twin models to detect emerging failure modes before they become recall events.
